Eusebio Lozano Ceramics

Lozano creates exquisitely shaped ceramic vessels that are glaze-fired creating surfaces that echo subtle colors found in the remote deserts of Utah, California, Mexico and Australia. Lozano uses wood-fire, and other kiln-firing processes such as raku, saggar and pit-fire, to achieve the distinctive glazes covering his vessels. His works project a Zen feeling mirrored in soft matt surfaces with colors ranging from whites to ochre and warm golden orange to light brown earth tones. His one-of-a-kind works exude a calm and poetic presence further enhanced by his elegant wheel thrown forms. Lozano received his bachelor of fine arts degree from San Jose State University, and maintains a studio in the San Francisco Bay Area. His ceramic works have been exhibited at the John Natsoulas Gallery, Davis, CA and the international exhibition, Ceramics Annual of America in San Francisco. His pieces are included in numerous private collections, and at the American Museum of Ceramic Art, Pomona, California.
